I think each and every one of us is destined to have at least one or two dates from hell. Dates and dating can be great fun. They can and often do lead to a great romance. However, it isn’t unusual to meet a few oddballs during the course of your dating career.
One of my dates from hell happened during my late adolescent years. I was foolish enough to let a friend set me up on a blind date. Though I’m aware that this might make me sound fickle, as soon as I met my date I couldn’t wait to leave. The young man in question was physically unattractive. He had bad teeth, which I find a major turn off. Apart from this, the fact that every sentence that he uttered contained at least three curse words indicated that he was also somewhat lacking in the IQ department. I don’t know what my friend was thinking when she set me up on that blind date. At the time it felt as though she had done it to spite me.
Dates from hell are a part of life. The good thing about them is that they often give you a funny story to share afterwards. Dates from hell also teach us more about what we don’t want when it comes to romance and relationships.
