I was raised to judge other people by who they are as opposed to what they are, which is why I went on more than one interracial date during my single years. The interracial dates I had were no big deal for me or the guys I dated. I had fun getting to know my dates, and vice versa. If you have ever been on an interracial date then perhaps you’ll understand what I mean when I say that it’s the people you come into contact with while out on the date that can make you feel somewhat uncomfortable if you choose to let them. When I dated outside my own race, I noticed that some strangers tended to stare as though my date and I were a two-headed monster.
One would think that in an era in which political correctness is promoted and encouraged, a man and woman of different color could walk down the street without any fuss, but unfortunately that isn’t true. However, I advise you not to let the narrow-minded opinions of ignorant strangers put you off going on an interracial date. If some people take issue with people dating outside their race that’s their problem, not yours.
